Radon participates and introduces new products at (ESTRO38 MILAN, April 25, 2019)

At the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) 38th Annual Conference, April 26-29 in Milan, Radon presents recent and upcoming Radon innovations.

Brachytherapy Table and Patient Transfer System:

Brachytherapy Table and Patient Transfer System is designed to transport patients between tomography and brachytherapy treatment room without moving applicators after inserted. The system consists of a Carbon Fiber Patient Transfer Bed and a Brachytherapy Table.

Carbon Fiber Patient Transfer Bed; Made of carbon fiber fabric and cor material. The total weight of the carbon fiber part is 4 kg and no extra power is required. It can be transferred independently to tomography.

Brachytherapy Table has a compressor system to transfer the patient easily. The carbon fiber patient transfer bed can be inserted and removed with an easy locking system. 

Radon OSL Dosimetry System:

OSL dosimetry system measures radiation dose using Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) method. Tissue equivalent Berillium-Oxide (BeO) detectors are used in the Radon OSL dosimetry system to measure the exposured dose. The Radon OSL dosimetry system consists of OSL reader-eraser, dosimeters and software. All OSL dosimetry systems need a separate eraser unit for preparing dosimeters as ready for wearing again after erased.

Radon OSL dosimetry system contains an eraser part within itself. Radon OSL dosimetry system was designed with the intent of availability of point dose measurement in medical applications. In spite of, specially enhanced software enables saving dose records, evaluating dosimeters into the reader automatically, generating dose report and performing daily quality tests.
